Tom MacWright and data artist Eric Fischer used geotagged data from people posting to Twitter and threw it into MapBox for a visualization. I hear you. This map only shows users that are using the micro blogging site Twitter but still results generated are fascinating.
A total of 3 billion tweets were analyzed to develop this heat map. It seems that iPhone users generally have urban cities on lock. Meanwhile, Androids are more common in the suburbs. You will also find some blackberries here and there luring behind the big boys.
